Congrats to the PWHS Boy's Basetball team who are now the PIAA D1 6A Champions!

On Sunday March 1st, PWHS played Coatesviile for the PIAA Championship title at St. Joseph's Hagan Arena. 

Going into the second half PWHS was trailing behind Coatesville HS and PWHS looked to be in trouble as the score gap increased. 

As the 3rd quarter started you could see a change in the team as they gained more momentum. Mike Pereria had a huge second half scoring the first 9 points of the half for PWHS and then finishing the half with a total of 18 points. Mike Pereira had a game high of 24 points and 8 rebounds. 

In the end PWHS got the victory over Coatesville HS with the end score being 56-52.

Going into this game PWHS was the N0 1 seed (23-5). This was their first district win since 2023 and eighth district title for Boy's Basketball.
