The Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Diving Team had five divers qualify in the top 24 divers in the District and three additional divers who made the qualifying score—the most in any one season in the team's history.

On the boys side, two sophomores earned trips to States. Austin Alderfer placed fourth, and Morgan Hulitt placed seventh. Senior Jed Alderfer placed eighth making him an alternate for the State meet, and ninth grader Ethan Scully battled an injury and placed ninth.

"Sending two divers to States in back-to-back years is also a first for this team," said Head Coach David Stewart. "I won't be surprised if we add a third and fourth year to that in the next couple of seasons. "

Junior Riley Kiernan, the only PWHS girl to qualify, placed 8th making her the alternate for the State meet for the girls.

The team brought home five of the six medals the Suburban One League championships, the boy divers swept spots one through four, and the girls took second, third, and fifth.

"This team is very special in so many ways, but the thing I have enjoyed the most is their work ethic and family like relationships. It's not often that you can get 15 high school students together who all get along, but to see them flourish this season has been truly awesome," added Coach Stewart. "We are all very proud of their accomplishments and look forward to not only their performance at the State meet but their bright future ahead."
